Terms of Service

These terms apply to commissioned artwork and purchases from Macchia Arts.

Commission Process

  1. Inquiry - Submit your vision via the commission form
  2. Consultation - We discuss details and I provide a quote
  3. Deposit - 50% deposit secures your spot and begins work
  4. Creation - I bring your vision to life with updates along the way
  5. Completion - Final payment due, then your artwork ships

Payment Terms

  • Deposit: 50% due to begin work
  • Final Payment: Remaining 50% due upon completion, before shipping

Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun
  • Cancellations requested before work begins may receive a partial refund at my discretion
  • If I am unable to complete your commission, you will receive a full refund

Revisions

  • Sketch Phase: Revisions are welcome during initial concept and sketch approval
  • After Approval: Once you approve the sketch and painting begins, no revisions are possible due to the nature of oil painting

Please take time to review and approve sketches carefully before I begin the final piece.

Timeline

  • Typical completion: approximately 8 weeks (includes drying time for oil paintings)
  • Timeline varies based on size and complexity
  • A specific timeline will be provided during our consultation
  • I will keep you updated on progress throughout the process

Copyright & Reproduction Rights

  • I retain full copyright to all commissioned works
  • I may use images of your commissioned piece for my portfolio, social media, prints, and promotional materials
  • You receive the original physical artwork only
  • Commercial reproduction rights may be negotiated separately for an additional fee

Shipping & Delivery

  • Buyer pays shipping at actual cost
  • Domestic (US) and international shipping available
  • International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and fees
  • Insurance is recommended for high-value pieces
  • I am not responsible for damage or loss once the artwork is in the carrier’s possession
  • Tracking information will be provided once shipped

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, United States.

Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
